ESPN will air the Rockets vs. Miami preseason game on Wednesday, October 25 at 7:00. Gee, I wonder why they would do that. They must want to show the brother's Van Gundy in a head-to-head coaching battle. Oops! That's not it. Big Stan got the boot last season. It has to be the Alston vs. Payton matchup. I can't think of any other reason.
ah ha.. i see what you're getting at. A finals preview perhaps? Better place that bet while the oddsmakers are still asleep on this one.
Technically he did during the all-star game but the reg season game shaq sat out game one while yao sat out game 2 (though many believe he would play in that game, only to return a game later)
Ahhh, it all started 1-17-03. Anyone care to guess what the significance of that day was? *you should know
THAT WAS MY BIRTHDAY AND I WAS THERE!!! Francis with the game tying three...coming off the yao screen.......feeding yao in OT with the game ending dunk!
hopefully we get a ton more Rocks games in the season proper- and of course the playoffs. maybe even the finals
You are all wrong... It's without a doubt all about the RYBO-SHAQ match-up. Bowen bulked up during the summer and became a beast down low. He seems almost unstoppable, beating anyone gets in his way to the top. Im telling you guys you'll be surprise this year. He even ran up to Dallas for some pickup games. Ask Dirk who won.
I guess we'll be seeing our smallball lineup: Battier and Tmac at the foward spots with Wells guarding Wade. I can't imagine either Tmac or Battier attempting to keep up with him, but they can keep up with Walker and Haslem. Yao vs. Shaq will be the formal passing of the torch.
Sweet. Yao blocking shaq in the low post and shaq falling on his azz. Then the sweet hook shot over shaq on the other end. A few minutes later, Yao blocks Shaq yet again in the same location (left side of basket http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pk0MPyiJBbc&mode=related&search= 3:30), Yao runs the floor beating Shaq back for a lay-up. Then after that, Yao pulls a sweet turnaround J over Shaq for two!! Later, Yao slows Shaq down, allowing E. Griffin to block Shaq--once again. Shaq played more minutes and had more pts, but Yao played great defense including this great block of Shaq--yet again. 1:56 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lv0WziXZBFA&mode=related&search= Now Yao can use the same great defense and offensive finesse coupled with some more aggressive posting up of Shaq. Great dunk from that game here in OT with 20 seconds and counting down, Roxs win 108-104! 1:43 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pk0MPyiJBbc&mode=related&search= Francis had career high 44pts and Yao had 10pts/10boards and shaq 31pts. Shaq had is usual monster slams late in the game, but he is so owned by Yao now, u know. *say that real fast 5 times
Who is? Even though Yao has generally had the better of Shaq most times they've played against each other, there is no center in this league who can play against Yao like Shaq can. Big Z comes to mind, but even he isn't close to half the offensive threat that Yao is. Unfortunately it's a preseason game so we may not get to see them go at it for more than 10 minutes.
