ESPN the Magazine Shutting Down

didn't even know crap exists..

 

Liked when it first came out. Probably would still like. But no reason to buy or read unless I'm without internet.

 

The Athletic is where the best sportswriting lives. It's worth the subscription.

 

I don't remember this rag. I think I saw it on the floor of a Sports Clips once...

They should be looking to bring back Grantland as a news APP and youtube channel, but make the articles shorter and do shorter video clips. Long-form journalism is dead AF to the next gen who can barely focus for more than 11 seconds, but Grantland content was all hitting the right angles.

 

Check out the Ringer. It is basically Grantland 2.0 with a lot of the same people

ESPN the Magazine was a horrible publication. When I used to subscribe to Insider I got it for free and it was mostly garbage

 

What is this mag-a-zine you speak of? That's what holds bullets, right?

I get the magazine because it is *baked in* with ESPN Insider (now ESPN+). But the magazine has been GARBAGE for quite a long time. No surprise they are cutting it.

Also, +1 on The Athletic. I subscribed last October and it has been way worth it!
