saw this on Espn and thought it was quite interesting, I'd not thought of this before

so that means T-Mac is very good at distributing the ball to our paint players, who are among the best in the league in Yao and Scola. I guess thats how Tmac gets his team-high assists. Next year Scola just need to sink all his layups and Yao will of course hit his shots and that means more points for us.

so basically T-Mac is a very good distributor of the ball. I like this statistic of assists of "high percentage shots" lol but I still think we need a top PG, but thats not the point of this thread.

one more factor of T-Macs awesomeness!

    opinions?

is that news to you? if we had 2-3 landrys on this team, dude would be putting up 9-10 assists per game WITH EASE, not 5 or 6.

Or a guy who makes his three pointers at higher than a 36% clip that is the third option on the starting five and the second option without Yao.

he is a gun of a passer.

His height and ability to see over defenses to make those beatuiful bullet passes into the big man is pretty to watch.

Theres no point. All Rocket players are looked over by NBA.

Only other sports writer like espn or other unknown sites will actually bother to check the real talents.

Nba just loves ratings. They will shadow good players so Lebron can come aboard. Sites like msn get their articles straight from NBA. And if I remember, cavs beating wizards is somehow a more amazing thing than the rockets beating jazz in salt lake city because lebron was on the top of sports.....

Yes! I totally agree with everything you said here. Houston has always been shoved under a rock, even in the past, despite our success

There was a thread like this up already on the coments that Morey made. In that one i said that Lebron has the better passing ability in terms of percision but Tmac is better at making the right decision. I still think that way. I didn't know he had statistics to back it up but now that i do it makes sense. When watching Tmac you see him get people the ball in very easy situations. Lebron does it too but he has a team taylored to his abilities, full of high percentage shooters.

I've said this for quiet a while. Tmac is the BEST passer at the wing position. Lebron gets more assists but all you need to do is watch both guys play for consistently and you will see Tmac is better at find the open man, making more accurate passes and rarely forcing a bad pass. Tmac is also the best drive and kick passer I have ever scene. Nobody gets into a congested lane and hits an open man on the perimeter right in the chest with a pass like he does.

The only guys I can think of you *may* be better passers are Nash, Kidd and Chris Paul. Nobody outside of the PG is even close.

Now if Tmac would shoot instead of pass when he is right in front of the rim...

McGrady has made 2 game winning assists so far this year if I remember, there could be more. But, for those 2 games that I know of (sonics, kings), McGrady was not mentioned anywhere for making the game winning pass. The players were completely wide open because McGrady made the right choice, but only the scorer gets the attention.

This is why no matter what happens, kobe and lebron will always get more attention. In Wilt Chamberlains 100 point game, one of the players on the team actually had 20+ assists. But nobody here knows that right?
