Those pricks didn't even play a highlight from the damn game. What a bunch of aceholes. What did I expect? ------------------ "I move for no man." --"So be it."
Maybe they didn't have them yet. Watch the next Sports Center and see if they show any. If they don't then, they REALLY REALLY suck. But, we already knew that. ------------------ "Oh, God. I wish I was a loofa."
But yet they seem to play the replay highlights from the Knicks and CHICAGO BULLS game. What a bunch of crap. ESPN still says that the reason we won those 2 championships is because MJ was gone. ------------------ "I move for no man." --"So be it."
You guys should watch NBA 2 Night on ESPN2. They show highlights from every NBA game that night. I'm not sure if its on every night though. I'm sure SportsCenter will show highlights from tonight's game. ------------------
That game ended much earlier in the evening. Just wait and give the pricks a chance. NBA.com TV doesn't even have game highlights going yet, so its not all that bad. ------------------ The season's halfway over...and I still need that keg of Pepto-Bismol.
The real test of ESPN - the power rankings. If the Rockets don't move up after this past week, well, to hell with them. ------------------ "Oh, God. I wish I was a loofa."
It'll be on a 11:00 CST tonight. (on DtV anyway, I don't know if cable is different.) ------------------ The season's halfway over...and I still need that keg of Pepto-Bismol.
NBA 2night airs on Tuesdays-Saturdays. ------------------ Hakeem "The Dream" Olajuwon is the greatest player in the history of basketball. If you disagree, you are not a Rocket fan.
NBA tonight is going to do a segment where they go to a barbershop with several Rockets players. I'm not sure who all the players are, but Mooch (of course) and Cat were shown in the promo. ------------------ The season's halfway over...and I still need that keg of Pepto-Bismol.
The Rockets had extensive highlights on NBA2NIGHT. ------------------ The Rockets will be the NBA champions. Believe.
Fred Carter is going to the barbershop with the Rockets, including Steve Francis, to discuss, among other things, who the leagues best trash talkers are. At least thats what the ESPN guy said. Its coming up in the next segment on NBA2NIGHT. ------------------ The Rockets will be the NBA champions. Believe.
Man, NBA2night was ALL Rockets! I hope you're satisfied now DaryleWard. I know I am! ------------------ The season's halfway over...and I still need that keg of Pepto-Bismol.
Tina Thompson was also there and when they showed the weight room highlight so was Dan Langhi. ------------------ Ceo of the Walt Williams and Lisa Malosky fan club. atheistalliance.org
ESPN also states that we now are 2-14 against the powerhouses of the west, and this win ended a 14 game losing streak to these teams. What ESPN fails to recognice is that they have the powerhouses all wrong. Blazers have puffed up their record by beating the east (as another team I know of ) If they want 5 team as powerhouse in the west, then Mavs would be that 5th team - and our recourd would then be 4-12 - still bad but we had our problems when the season starte (and then also no 14 games long streak without winning ) If we disreagard Blazers without putting in Mavs we're now at 2-11 - ah I think we add Mavs West teams %-ages vs West: 1. Spurs .732 (yeah we beat them) 2. Kings .684 (will be harder - away to a good home team) 3. Jazz .666 (the devil's team didnt we know it) 4. Lakers .619 (other rocket win this season) 5. Mavs .578 (We lead series 2-1) 6. Suns .548 (We're going after their seed) 7. Blazers .541 (We better beat them - can't let them sweep us) 8. Wolves .526 (not going to the playoffs ) 9. Sonics .512 10. Nuggets .512 (vs east .417 away .250 ) 11. Rockets .375 12. Clippers .341 13. Grizzlies .209 14. Warriors .209 (time for a name change) ------------------ We can reach our destination, but it's still a ways away. [This message has been edited by Heath2000 (edited March 18, 2001).]
I watched the "NBA 2NIGHT" show on ESPN2 where they showed highlights of our game tonight with the Spurs. Afterwards, they had an interview with Steve Francis, Cuttino Mobley, Moochie Norris, and Tina Thompson. Among topics discussed: 1) Francis and Mobley talking about their first year playing with Hakeem and Barkley (sorry, can't remember what they said); 2) Mobley's first game as a Rocket vs. Golden State. Mobley is called late into the game by Rudy, Barkley says to Mobley "Get in there, get in there." Mobley drains a game-winning three-pointer, which Cuttino says helped him get his career off in the right direction; 3) Moochie tells Fred Carter why he IS named Moochie (was named after his grandfather's favorite song, "Minnie The Moocher"); 4) Fred Carter asks Tina what she has on her finger. It is one of her WNBA rings. Both Cuttino and Steve examine the ring, and one of them says "Mmmm, in about another year, WE'LL be winning one of those." Damn, I laughed HARD at that one! But after watching the Rockets play the last 20 games (16-4 in the last 20 games, including tonight's win), I really believe we could make a run at this thing THIS year; 5) Fred Carter asks who is the biggest trash talked in the NBA. Moochie blurts out "Gary Payton." Steve and Cuttino immediately say "OH NOOOO!! IT'S K.G. (Kevin Garnett)!! He talks trash ALL game long!! Overall, it was a pretty cool interview. But ESPN still sucks hard!! ------------------ HOUSTON Rockets forever!!
