no link- just saw it on NBA coast to coast said T-mac acknowledged it was all in his shoulders to get rockets into the playoffs. Also indicated that T-mac felt like crying when he heard the news.
Felt like crying? Didn't we all? But I agree that T-Mac will probably have to shoulder most of the load now that Yao's out. But at least he's better equipped with a better supporting cast. Maybe the load won't be as heavy.
Oh god I hate any interviews with Tmac that involves the words "playoffs, load, shoulder, burden, etc." God its a guarantee that he will say something stupid. *covering eyes (well after I type this) and ears*** Hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil..... Please lock this thread up...I have a bad feeling about this.....
haha i was talking with my friend and i said that tmac will probably go ahead and tell everyone he's going to carry the team...and than he'll cry (except not cry about yao)
I noticed that too. My initial reaction was WTF? Aren't you supposed to be concentrating on the game t-mac?
You know, as long as teams continue to double team Mcgrady and give us all those wide-open shots we could be all right. With the exception of the hornets game Yao and T-mac were mainly just being gigantic decoys and getting shots for everyone else. T-mac proved that again tonight as they gave him the ball to start with and they passed it around for easy baskets. Smith also said the rockets should just give the ball to Mcgrady and shutup. He obviously has no idea why the rockets are doing as well as they have been.
Yeh, I was thinking the same thing. As long as Tmac can draw the double teams, and his teammates hit the shots, we'll be fine. At this point, I think the rest of the team needs to inspire Tmac with their play. I think if the team plays well, Tmac will get motivated to bring his game up.
The more I hear Stephen A speak, the more I'm convinced he knows absolutely nothing about basketball.
ESPN asks SAS whether he thinks the Rox make the playoffs. SAS says 'I don't see it happening now.' He says that the ONLY way the Rockets make it is if the Rox give the ball to Tmac and let him do the rest. No more passing, playmaker Tmac, just give him the ball and get out of the way. Now read what I wrote and scream it through a megaphone w/ spit coming out of your mouth and you get the full effect. Needless to say, anyone who follows the Rockets knows we are too deep to let just one guy do it all. I'm pretty sure SAS and most pundits have no idea who Landry is, to start.

I've been trying to find what T-Mac has to say about Yao's injury and what it means to the team. Does anyone know if there is any article with T-Mac's quote?
