Interesting.......Bulls would be nasty with Melo/Rose/Boozer.

I personally think Noah is over-rated but oh well.

If the Bulls give up Noah, they lose a lot of rebounding and defense. I think the defense will be fine either way regardless because of the coaching, but that rebounding might be hard to make up for.

noah provides the defense and boozer isn't known for defense. i dont' think they need melo truthfully. their offense is already balanced as it is.

rose will take his game to superstar level this year anyways. bulls should sit tight.

Noah brings a lot of value and helps you get W's but he is a really really good role player at best. Anthony is another level. If they can keep Deng (for trading purposes) or get Nene back they'd be looking real nice.

If he doesn't come here, I would prefer him to be in the East, stack the east, make it a tad easier in the West, that's fine with me, we still know where the best teams reside and it isn't in the east

I don't really understand this. Sure, Melo is a huge upgrade over Deng - but at least Deng is a quality small forward. Quality centers, however, are RARE as hell. And Noah is a fierce competitor. I like him a lot.

Actually, I'm not sure if, after the Lakers, the best teams aren't the Heat, Magic, Celtics and possibly Bulls. It's just after those four it drops off considerably.

For salary purposes, Bulls almost have to include Deng in any offseason Melo trade whether or not Noah is involved because a bunch of their other guys were recently signed and can't be traded until December 15, 2010.

Noah + Deng won't be a bad haul, though I can see why Denver may not want to get a guy on a long and fat contract and another guy who will soon get a long and fat contract if they are "rebuilding."

For my part, I'd almost wish the Rockets try to get their hands on Noah (and eat Deng's) to facilitate a 3 way with the Bulls.

Noah is a great defender, elite rebounder and an apprentice of the white Brad Miller. Deng is paid a lot, but is a pretty good and versatile player.

Their games aren't really that similar. Noah is like a taller version of Chuck Hayes with no shot outside of 5 feet.

Did the Nuggets organization ever say they're rebuilding? Just wondering. Seems like they can still compete, especially since they're probably not intensely keen on trading hometown guy Chauncey Billups (i.e., as a result of having to trade Carmelo).

The Nuggets ARE in let's-get-cheap mode. Reportedly paying the new rubber-stamper GM about $200K a year. Good money for me, but not so great for the GM of an NBA franchise.

I can see Denver wanting to stay competitive but balking at Deng's salary. That's just good common sense.
