If you put on ESPN news and watch the interview they have with one of their correspondents he said that a source said that the rocks interview with Van Gundy didn’t go well and he slipped down in the eyes of Alexander.

With Brown gone, Van Gundy probably going to Cleveland, and Dunleavy expecting the job in Atlanta, i guess that leaves SIlias. He did tour the arena and new offices, more than anyone else did. And as far as Carlile, he reportedly doesn’t know if he still wants to coach.

Silas was a respectable coach in New Orleans. The fans and players loved him. He was not given an extension because Geoorge Shinn is a scrooge when it comes to money. What else do you expect from a guy that wants Tim Floyd or Mike Fratello. Those guys are only being considered because they are cheap. Bottom line is: Silas is a good coach.

Forget about Brown - he is so gone. Hire Carlisle Les before it is too late.

    Carlisle is the best choice!

Great X's and O's pedigree, winner
Tough, not afraid to butt heads
Gets more out of his players than expected
Got "selfish" player to win accolades for "maturing," team play

Larry Brown, Eddie Jordan or Rick Carlisle. In that order.

Okay, I think I'm willing to give any new coach a chance. But if we got rid of Rudy for an assistant who doesn't even get us to the playoffs in 2004, Les will have to incur my full wrath at season's end! (And by "my full wrath," I'm referring to my b****ing about him on this BBS.)

Eddie Jordan? "Eddie" played by Whoopi Goldberg is a better choice...

Jordan flopped in his two head coaching jobs.

    Give me Carlisle.

The Pistons seem to have made this decision without a formal interview. What's the point of an interview when you know the person, resume, etc..?
