He is way too much of a team player to sow the seeds of discontent like that.

I don't think we would get market for either of them right now anyway. That's the only way either of them goes. I'm talkin Rasheed talent at minimum.

I can understand you not liking Francis right now...hel, I aint real happy with him either..

but barring a couple of games where Cat has had shooting woes...his defense on some good 2 guards all season...and his willingness to buy into Vg's way + his sweetheart contract = a good player with value.

and btw...wether or not we like SF right now...I guarantee you there is a GM somewhere in this league that thinks SF would be a great addition to his lineup...irregardless of his shooting slump of last week...he is a career good shooter..and able to create on the dribble and score...any team with a good PG already wouldnt mind using him as a legitamate 20pt scoring threat.

 

The last thing we need to do is make some knee jerk trades. Sit pat at the trade deadline unless you get a can't refuse offer, then evaluate our needs this summer when:

a) we have a better idea where the friction is coming from and

b) teams are more willing to make wholesale changes

No way we get anything close to value for Steve now and quite frankly, if we can't get close, we shouldn't move him at all.

YM has managers, agents, media handlers, and family. I don't really know how tight his inner circle is, but he's hardly closed off from the world. I'm sure there are ways he can pass on information.

SF is gone. The question isn't whether he will be traded, but when.

Hopefully CD doesn't screw it up.

The results of this trade will decide the Rockets future for years to come.

The day YM was drafted, a few of us predicted that eventually SF would have to go.

It appears our prediction is coming true.

couldnt have said it better myself..

this is the position I have had all season...everyone deserves a chance to change...and in basketball...a half season isnt enough time to truely see what is going to occur.
If SF is unable to turn it around by then...fine...move him...but until then..lets ust watch and hope he sees that we wont win consistently until he effectively meshes his game with the rest of the team.
