    [RUMOR] Rockets sign Andre Barrett

    Heard this somewhere. Anybody else know anything about this, supposedly it was on TV.

    PS. Who's Andre Barrett?

    whoaaa!!! look at the scouting report --

    Scouting Report: One of the best point guards in the nation ... Acute distributor, deft ball-handler ... Gifted as a penetrator, he scores remarkably well off the drive despite standing just 5-10 ... Weaves through the lane, fines holes that don't even exist ... Really loves pushing the ball upcourt and establishing something before the defense can set itself ... Has caught fire as a perimeter scorer, something guards his size often have difficulty doing ... Speed is deceptively quick, probably because he controls his motion and accelerates so smoothly ... A big-time ball thief on the defensive ends, he plays the passing lanes and also collects strips coming over as a help defender.

    is this guy for real? did we really get him? looks like our future is planned:cool:

    Haha. I wouldn't trust any of these scouting reports. It's just like the pre-NBA Draft scouting report of college/HS/International players.

    Most of the time they're wrong.

    Compiled 1,236 points and 1,100 assists. Finished as Rice's all-time assist leader and was the first player in the history of the school to record over 1,000 points and 1,000 assists.

    Wonder where he will be in the depth chart though..unless we get rid of Lue or something early in the year with one of our PF.....I don't see this guy getting much playing time....

    if this guy can become good, i can probably see him as a 1st backup to charlie but not starter, since hes only 5'9... (shorter than wilks?)

    I actually heard about Barrett this morning from one of the player licensing guys at work (who also went to Seton Hall). I dismissed it out of hand because CF.net had nothing on the signing. Guess it might be true. Those licensing guys are usually on the money. (re: Beltran & T-Mac)
