http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/playoffs/2009/columns/story?columnist=adande_ja&page=Yao-090504 More in the link above. I'm surprised Adande is even giving the Rockets any credit at all.
If this was directed to me, it is the most overused cliche phrase because it is true. That is like saying calling the sun bright is cliched.
Obviously, I was not speaking to you. Also, stop talking about racism. That has absolutely nothing to do with Yao or this game.
Forgive me but why is that line so funny, just because Yao never goes to clubs with these guys or am I missing something ?
Considering you didn't quote anything and just shot off a vague one liner right after my post, how is this obvious? Also, what gives you a right to tell me to stop talking about something? This is a forum for people to exchange ideas and opinions. I can say whatever the hell I want as long as I follow the site's TOS.
It was the spontaneity of the situation along with everyone being caught off guard more than what Yao actually said. It was funny because it was an unexpected one-liner.
yao is HILARIOUS. hopefully these playoffs will allow the world see more into yao as a player, but also as a human being. those lines are CLASSIC.
Yao like Dream before him is a gentle giant off the court. Now he needs to be like the Nigerian Nightmare on the court.
It's ok.... It was funny because a lot of young African American athletes go to clubs for leisure. It would be out of character for Yao to go to clubs because of his low key demeanor. (There is nothing wrong with clubs) So when he said "see you at the club" it was funny because it’s a chance that a few players will go to one after the game. Of course Yao was joking....he doesn't go to clubs.
