ESPN just reported that Falk is working to get the deal done between Sonics/Knicks. Deal could be done anytime soon. Guess it's time to pursue Brad Miller.
Guess it's time to stop jumping the gun. Nothing is done until the ink is dry, and this deal has been reported as "almost done" about 30000 times now. Plus, in recent days some sources even on this board have said that there is still a decent chance Taylor could come to Houston even IF Seattle/New York could reach an agreement. ------------------ Looking for next year's Dan Langhi? Now come on....we all know better than that. Falk is in charge here, not Mo....The only reason dialogue has continued to go on with the Rockets-Falk camp is just in case the Seattle/New York deal doesn't go through. We are basically his second option if all else fails...... Aren't we all lucky??????? ------------------ Be sure to water your grass
I must have missed that one. Who said that Cat? ------------------ I've posted so much that what I say must be true. The latest on Maurice Taylor
Look at it this way: If ESPN reported it, it's bound to go the other way. ------------------ The Serious Police are watching. Follow the rules or be assimilated. Shandon is underrated.
Dont mind Cats quick barb... He's just mad that his "FA's are dying to come to Houston" prognosis is flailing with every Rashard Lewis, Mo Taylor, Austin Croshere signings going on elsewhere. ------------------ "I have amazing, powers of observation"...Pink
ESPN could be getting a bit of a roll on - thy predicted the Mobley signing and scooped Duncan staying put in SA (like that was hard..) - if they get this one right then they're on a roll one would have to say!! ------------------
Dreamshake, One player turned us down. Austin Croshere. And I hope you can see why- it's hard to pass up 51 mil for 2. Lewis had no choice- he was a restricted FA. Taylor is proving my argument right, as he is leaning towards here. And what happened with Mobley? Seems to me he signed for less to stay in Houston. Also, Dreamshake- Clutch stated basically the same sentiment I did about FAs wanting to play in Houston in a post about a month or two back. If you're going to personally attack me about it, why don't you attack him too? ------------------ Looking for next year's Dan Langhi? Draftsource.net Assimilate David Falk!! Cat get a serious grip on life. Here let me add this for you Anyways, Rahsard wouldnt of passed up more money to play in Houston so how does that make Houston the "Much more attractive place" ? Croshere didnt want to ever seriously be here. If Mo was one of those FA's dying to come to Houston, then Hed accept the 2.5 and get his payday next year when the Rox had cap space. Like SA did. Didnt Bo Outlaw also say he didnt want to come here. Glen Rice was quoted as to not wanting to be here. Not that Im arguing that the Rox needed these players or even wanted them all. Facts are facts. Houston is NOT currently one of the trendy places to be "right now" It goes in cycles. A few years ago it Was Phoenix, then Houston, then even Sacramento Orlando has been the place recently. These things go in cycles. Relax. ------------------ "I have amazing, powers of observation"...Pink
Personally I think Houston right now is in the top 5 places to be for FA's, but I guess we'll have to agree to disagree here. I honestly believe Croshere was interested in Houston and would have played here if the price could have been a little higher. But our hands were tied. You don't know about Rashard, and from what I've heard he probably would have. Mo probably will sign with us and take the cap room. Sorry for overreacting to your post though Dreamshake- I guess we just have to agree to disagree here. ------------------ Looking for next year's Dan Langhi? Draftsource.net Assimilate David Falk!!
Actually, Cat, I've been told that we are not as high on everyone's list because of the questionable arena situation. Many of the players are VERY aware and are concerned that the Rockets might be in another city in a few years. They do NOT want that to happen. Players love it here but the are extremely sensitive to issues like arenas. They know the value of new arenas and the problems when they aren't build. Free agents ask about this stuff and want to know what is up. It is a significant issue for them and, in some cases, the difference between them signing or not signing. ------------------ Save Our Rockets and Comets SaveOurRockets.com
Jeff, I am sure it is on the players minds, a bit. However, Mo is only interested in a 1 year deal, I seriously doubt the Rockets will move THIS year. In addition, at the end of this year we should know whether they have a new arena or not. DaDakota ------------------ All you MO-FO's better stop ripping off my lines !!
Da: You are correct about Mo. I was really referring more to Croshere. Taylor's thing is a little different. ------------------ Save Our Rockets and Comets SaveOurRockets.com
OK, I can't take it anymore! How many friggin times are we going to post "a deal will be done"?? For days we've seen and heard the same damn thing from the same damn sources and sites! Can we lay off for just one friggin day repeating for the umpteenth time what everyone and their mother already knows!?!?!? I mean c'mon, no matter who posts it or how many times this stupid ass story is posted, the facts are all still the same...there are two teams working on a deal and there is no deal until the ink is on the dotted line!! My rant has been concluded. ------------------ Don't you have anything better to do?
