I know this might have been posted in another thread somewhere but just wanted to put it out in case it wasn't. Is this not a bit too much and too long for a guy that only avg'd 9 pts, 3 brds, and low numbers all around?

Hehe, we've had a looooooong discussion about the Spurs, Malik Rose, and the worthiness of his big deal over in this thread: http://bbs.clutchcity.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=37956.

But in any case - at least it's now confirmed that Rose is getting 7yrs at $42m/season. Now, who else are the Spurs going to overpay? ;)

Try 9 points and 6 boards in 20 minutes a game. Rose is one of the best 6th men in the game. Had he hit the open market then the mid level exception for 6 years was his price.

    1. rose IS one of the best sixth men in the league.

    2. the spurs, imo, did overpay for him.

OK, so SA should have let him walk for 6 years and $35 mil elsewhere. At least then they wouldn't have "overpaid" him. Yeah. It's so easy to find an excellent 6th man nowadays...

7 yrs, 42 millions? Hmm ... awefully familiar numbers ...
