I know im new here but it was just reported on sportscenter according to david aldridge the rockets will resign cuttino to a 6yr/29mil deal. If i can find the link on espn.com i will post it. ------------------
Really? DA said it? If so, then YES!!!!! Thanks so much for the information man. That's the news I'd been waiting to hear. ------------------ http://www.saveourcuttino.com

I found it!!! Here it is! http://espn.go.com/nba/news/1999/0804/39601.html Thank you so much man, we really appreciate it. ------------------ http://www.saveourcuttino.com
I thought they could only offer him a one or two year deal that maxes out at 4.1/season. ------------------ "Stranger things have happened, but none stranger than this" - Commentator after a parachutist landed in the ring of a Holyfield fight
By the way, I forgot to say, "YESSSSSSS!" ------------------ [This message has been edited by TraJ (edited July 27, 2000).]
I hope this is true , if it is GREEEEAAAATTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ------------------ When I die I want to go right after watching a rockets game !
That rocks!! No pun intended. ------------------ "I've been licking this carpet for hours and I still don't feel like a lesbian!"
Let's not forget that Aldridge is an idiot. Can someone please explain how this contract is possible before we get too excited. ------------------ "Stranger things have happened, but none stranger than this" - Commentator after a parachutist landed in the ring of a Holyfield fight
!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rocketsause, that is the Early Bird exception...for 6 years...count them baby!! Note, that is an unbelievably cheap deal! That makes him an average salary player for 6 yrs. I don't want to ever hear anyone say Cuttino is greedy or disloyal again. He can't renegotiate until the 4th year and that is capped at a 112.5% deal. I think a lot of people need a serious retraction. Clearly the Rockets played hardball with his contract by not offering 2 years followed by a promise for a Full Bird contract. That is a really bad contract for Mobley. [This message has been edited by heypartner (edited July 27, 2000).]
THAT IS AWESOME!! Cuttino made the right choice! A six-year, $25 million deal with Houston isn't too shabby. A couple years down the road that's gonna be a bargain, too! ------------------ I'm not clumsy, I just have to know my surroundings.
Aldridge is just scooping me. He read my comments in a different thread (the Langhi one) where CD told me today that resigning Cuttino looked really good. ------------------ Clutchcity500.com is where all the action is!
Thanks, I guess the reason I never heard of a long term deal was that it was so unlikely that he would ever go for it. Let's hope it's true. ------------------ "Stranger things have happened, but none stranger than this" - Commentator after a parachutist landed in the ring of a Holyfield fight
Youre welcome guys, thanks for covering me on the link. Now i think the rockets are playoff bound if this happens which i think it will. ------------------
Who needs Cory Alexander, now? NOT US ------------------ I'm not clumsy, I just have to know my surroundings.
It was 6yr/25mil i misread it on tv just to let those you dont know have the facts down straight. ------------------
