Check it out. Looks pretty nifty, not too different. I don't know what I downloaded, apparently something that allows you to watch new video segments every day. espn.com
I played with the app that ESPN asks visitors to download. It's called "ESPNMotion" and everyone should know that it keeps a process running at all times, eating up memory and CPU power. Personally, I find it a waste. It's annoying to hear an audio clip everytime I visit the site (which is really often in my case). I can't stand the new design at all.
I hope they redid their search function. The old one blew. I downloaded it, but I have enough other programs using ram, so I got rid of it pretty fast.
I just downloaded that thing. I assume I can start/terminate it manually? If not, I will uninstall it. The NBA page does not seem to have changed yet, though, or has it?
I have to say, the video quality is fantastic. If I can get NBA highlights through this in that quality, I will not mind having this motion thing running in the background...but I do not want a notification every time something happens in baseball or the NFL...hmm...I hope they will give users the ability to personalize this.
Is anyone using Opera 7.02 "Bork" edition? ESPN's new frontpage causes it to crash so bad that I have to do a hard reboot on Windows 2000.
