Does anybody wish that 610AM would go back to the Sporting News network programming. I know personally, I get pretty ESPNed out when I am at home and I like the different perspective the Sporting News network brought. Listening to ESPN on the radio is like watching it at home, its the same people, Kiper, Patrick, Salsbury, etc.

I used to like listening to Rick Ballew (sp?) late nights. Jerome from Manhattan would always call in and go off on the Yankees. Good stuff. I don't like ESPN as much, either.

Speaking of ESPN...has anyone caught the "fact-fiction" segment they do on sportscenter? Have you ever noticed that Jon Clayton and Sean Salisbury seem to really hate each other? Is that just an act?

Just be thankful you don't have FoxSports like Austin does.

I would kill to get ESPN back.

Bruno, the Brick, its all Romey spinoff crap.

ESPN is now the network for the battling reporters. PTI is a good show but the rest of the debating between these Cats is getting old.

If 610 broadcast The Dan Patrick Show in real time it would be better, hell we can't even call in!

Dan's show is terrible. It's a pathetic diatribe of his 'Yes Dan' men constantly tripping over each other trying to lift his coattails off of the ground.

Actually, I might like Dan's show if it was Dan only interacting with callers. Otherwise, I'd much rather have local programming in his slot. Hell, I would even vote to bring back Kenny Hand or Russ Small in that time slot.

Or better yet...there are plenty of great sports personalities that participate in cc.net and I'm sure we could find someone to spend a little time talking sports like we do here....(hint hint wink wink cough cough Jeff cough cough :D )

Kenny Hand is cool but if you'd said Ed Fowler or Mike Edmunds, I'd have to hunt you down and tickle you to death.

I like Fowler. He used to edit my sports articles that I wrote back in high school. Dude is super chill and really nice.

I used to like Fowler and Edmunds, but John and Lance are a lot better. I wonder if Prime Sports is still around.

Yeah, Dan Patrick sucks. They act way too serious on some issues. They should relax, it's just sports.

I don't like Charlie and Rich either.

John and Lance have the most entertaining show on the radio right now...i would rather listen to that than anything else on the radio, save Latin Jazz Night on KTSU.

used to be entertained by Rome...but man, that act wears thin quick. he does get good interviews, though. and very timely interviews.

I thought I was the only one who loved to listen to Jerome from Manhattan. The guy is crazy. I personally dont like ESPN radio. I was listening to the show one night and they were interviewing some celebrities from T.V shows. If I wanna know about hollywood I can watch Entertainment Tonight or Inside Edition. I miss the all sports talk all the time. The only show's I listen to now are Matt and Jeremy and the rest of the local shows. Oh and I think he spells it Baillou.

Rome is getting old. As funny as he is, his callers make the show, you just can't put up with his anger all the time, he needs to start taking more calls.

I think the sports talk genre has altered into sports/entertainment. I can't think of one show that is purely sports anymore, much to my chagrin. A few jokes and entertainment news is fine on occaision... but its gotten out of hand now.

I guess ESPN was ahead of its time when it was created.

I wish the Rudy T or Charlie Casserly or insert coach here shows were during drivetime.

I miss Jerome too, always complaining about the Yankees not having an all star at every position. He was funny as hell.

Bah, can't edit. I forgot to ask, does anyone know if Jerome has popped any blood vessels while on the air? That's something to look into.

Their show used to put me in a temporary coma. They definitely were not trying to focus the show towards the 70 and younger audience!

I also liked Matt and Jeremy's show way back when. They were John and Lance-esque, but had a touch of rawness that really made their show interesting. Plus they always seemed to be at odds and it made for fun listening.
