http://espn.go.com/nba/preview2002/s/predictions.html We got a little love in their predictions from the gallery of ESPN media types. DAVID ALDRIDGE - Exec of the Year - Carroll Dawson RIC BUCHER - Coach of the Year - Rudy Tomjanovich RIC BUCHER, MITCH LAWRENCE, MARC STEIN - Rookie of the Year - Yao Ming Chris
I thought the league relies on a computer to make the schedule. I mean, on opening night, Cleveland vs. the Clippers, and the Jazz in N'Awlins for the first time in over 20 years?! Computer my A$$ets!!
Damn, I missed that one. Thanks for pointing that out! Glad to see Griffin mentioned in there. Hopefully in a few years his will be a name that will pop up in the Defensive Player of the Year category. Chris
We still aren't predicted to finish very high. I know we aren't that great but I think we will finish higher than 5th in the midwest. The Jazz just don't seem to be that good anymore. Hopefully we can prove some people wrong.
We need to make the playoffs to win those accolades. It makes me think the writers are hedging their bets on the Rockets so that they're in a kind of a win-win situation.... If Yao exceeds expectations this year, CD's choice would be a "no brainer". I hope Aldridge isn't the only one to look past that.
according to the columbus dispatch, we are not going to make the playoffs. Maybe they should talk to these guys
