    Gammons was one of the very few personalities at ESPN that I have alot of respect for

    prayers that he pulls through

    I hope everything goes well. He is one of the few things I actually like about baseball. :(

    i really like peter, he's an excellent writer and has great knowledge of the game. he and harold reynolds are the only 2 people who work baseball for espn that i can stand. i hope that he pulls through.

    Well their doing surgery which is a good sign, if you can consider cutting into ones head good. If they caught before it ruptured then hopefully the surgery will be a success with no complications. My grandmother had an aneurysm rupture in her head. They gave her a 10% chance to live at Heights Hospital. She lived long enough to be stablized to the point where she could be air lifted to St. Luke's. There she underwent surgery, eventually had a shunt put in to drain excess fluid to her abdominal cavity. I spent a lot of time at the Medical Center during the summer of 1984, but she never had another and ended up living another 16 years.

    On the other hand, a lady my mom worked with had a son in his late 20's die from an aneurysm around one of his kidneys. It ruptured on him and he bled to death before they could figure out what was wrong.

    Nasty stuff.
