Get ready for the Jets knob slobbing and hype machine to continue. Too bad they're gonna go 9-7 again and all these "key" acquisitions will turn out mediocre at best.
They might go 9-7 in the regular season but they could get to the superbowl and dare I say even win the damn thing. Can't really hate on a teams management/owner to go balls out in trying to win it all.
Good move, they were Super Bowl contenders before the move anyways... but it doesn't hurt to add depth.
I realize they're a dangerous team if they can develop some semblance of an offense and their defense continues to play at an elite level. I'm just getting sick of the hype already. The only "big" acquisition they made that will matter is if Cromartie can keep his head on straight and stops getting burnt like toast. Maybe then I'll actually take one of these acquisitions seriously.
Is Jenkins back? That's gonna mean some heavy pressure, and a very solid LB pack: Pace, Scott, Howard and now Taylor.
the jets IMO won`t win a SB with Sanchez at the helm. they have signed a few great veterans, but they are past their prime. looks like they will win their division, but i can`t see them being better than IND, NE, NO, MIN, and so on.
Nah, I got over that quickly. Personally, I still would have just kept him and let him walk for nothing at the end of the season (versus losing him for basically a worthless 5th rounder). But the deed has been done. I just think it's funny people are like "Santonio + Braylon + Cotchery + LT!!!". Too bad Mark Sanchez throws for 150 yards a game.
Hype or no, the Jets look like they're going to be scary. Great locker room vibe, Kris Jenkins plus more pieces added in make this the best defense in the league bar none. I think Sanchez will be fine next year, especially with a Edwards-Homes-Cotchery-Keller receiving corps. Rock solid line. Only way they didn't get better this offseason was swapping out Jones for LdT, but they still have the draft to add a couple pieces. As far as Jason Taylor, I doubt he's going to be used much beyond obvious rushing downs. But I could be wrong.
Really depends on how effective the run game is without Thomas Jones, and if Sanchez matures. I saw a lot I like about Sanchez, and a lot I hated last year. He has the tools, but he needs to make fewer mistakes.
Taylor is of little impact at this point in his career. Although he may produce simply because he is going to be surrounded by so much talent.
You know what they say: jealousy is a sickness. Get well soon, my friend. But no for real, I'm just a Yinzer that happens to be a ginormous Houston Rockets fan. I know, it makes no sense at all. It's like topping a steak with peanut butter but it still works for me!
