Wow - they still had Durant rated at 24??

Howard and Harden are more appropriately rated here.

I don't think it's that crazy to have a former MVP, four time scoring champ, and seven time all-star in the top 25. Especially when he has led his team to the Finals before.

But you gotta realize the stuff many other guys have done. All star games mean nothing to me. His mvp and scoring I don't think make it a top 25 or even 30 player of all time. Maybe in late 30s or 40s.

Wow. I fully expected Kobe to be top 3 lol. I usually rank him around 12-15 so that's a great spot.

I'm betting Hakeem will come in at 11 which pisses me off.

Holy cow, I am legitimately shocked (pleasantly so) that they slotted Kobe somewhat accurately. Even big-time Kobe-hater Bill Simmons quietly shuffled him up to 8 (from 15) in his Book of Basketball rankings after the latest ring. Most of the modern ESPN rhetoric about it makes it seem like the five most important players in history are Jordan, Wilt, Russell, Lebron, and Kobe.

(Also, as the resident Elgin Baylor admirer, what the hell!? Curry over Baylor? Robinson over Baylor?)

You're the biggest fan of Duncan outside of Spurs fans and don't realize that he has more playoff game appearances in less seasons, is higher in all major player efficiency metrics for regular season, career, and cumulative, is clearly the better defensive player, and is also more efficient offensively (albeit at a lower volume) than Bryant? Or that Duncan is ahead of Bryant in win shares by the same amount Bryant is in front of Ray Allen or Gary Payton or Jason Kidd?

There are good arguments for Bryant, especially team context (Duncan was lucky to land with a great franchise) and peak dominance, but to act like it's some sort of travesty when it's a pretty close argument is kind of weird for a Duncan fan.

Would guess they put Hakeem right at number 10.
Glad they have him top ten but still made he will be below Shaq

I don't think they've done Kareem yet, there's no order released for top 10 remaining yet. It's next week...

Exactly, I saw some advanced metrics/stats and it doesn't make kobe to be all that, I am actually surprised ESPN got something right for a change.
