I downloaded this so-called "feature" and it doesnt work worth a ****. I click on the icon, and it basically takes me to the main ESPN page..... Worthless spyware probably.....
We have detected that your system is not currently equipped to use ESPN Motion. A Mac OS X version is in development, but for now, if you would like to use ESPN Motion, you must be using a PC with Windows 98 or better. Not bloody likely...
I think they should give you an option (like Flash or non-Flash sites). I see all I need to see on TV, I usually go there for stats or a written article so I don' t need all the additional stuff. The other thing, I have a high-speed connection so it loads fast, but noticeably different than before. I feel for those who have dial up access.
What it does is download the various sports videos while you aren't on the internet, so that when you go to ESPN's site, they come up instantly. Here's a story on it
So why the hell doesnt it work on my computer. I have all the necessary components.... I click on the little E in the corner, and it just brings up the main page of ESPN and nothing else.....
I started a thread on this before. If you install ESPN's software to run "Motion", it keeps a process running in the background forever. Waste of memory and if that process ever got a high PID, well...
I've downloaded this feature a few weeks back since it was first released, and for some reason, I have had a video to watch in the past week. At the same time I cant view ANY ESPN video or any video on the Rockets website. They are ran by the same web design team, so I am wondering if I am not just streaming anything on their end. Its really pissing me off because I usually watch the highlights ESPN has for most NBA games.
Exactly...I deleted this crap because my computer started doing funny things. Now it is fine. (And my computer has more than enough power.)
