All of the teams talk to each other throughout the year about potential trades. The talks heat up as we get closer to the trade deadline and this year is no different. One of the general managers who is searching to make a deal is Houston's Daryl Morey. "They will be extremely active," a source tells the Houston Chronicle. "Daryl (Morey, the Rockets' general manager) is talking to a lot of teams. He feels a lot of pressure to make some changes." Morey is interested in Carmelo Anthony and he can put together a quality package for the small forward. He is also searching for starting center since it looks like Yao Ming's career might be over. Four centers Morey could try to acquire are Nene Hilario, Marcus Camby, Chris Kaman and Samuel Dalembert. Nene could be on the move if Denver trades Anthony. If Anthony stays then Nene will probably stay. The newspaper reports the Rockets and Bulls have been talking. The Bulls asked about Courtney Lee, potentially for Omer Asik, but Morey doesn't want to trade Lee. According to the newspaper, Aaron Brooks has drawn interest from New York, Sacramento, Minnesota, Portland and Memphis, however the discussions have not been serious. Yao, Shane Battier and Jared Jeffries are among those on the roster in the final year of their contract and are the likeliest to be part of a trade. -- Nick Borges http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/features/rumors
FYI, everything from the ESPN Insider's "Rumors" page is just regurgitated from local news sources. There is nothing in that which wasn't taken from this article (which it links to): http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/bk/bkn/7420830.html
