Tracy McGrady, Rockets Once again, T-Mac is nursing injuries and dampening the hopes of Rockets fans everywhere. This time, it seems like everyone has had enough. The problem is, what GM in his right mind would give up anything of value for T-Mac at this point? Isiah Thomas is no longer writing checks in New York. So the Rockets can try to shop him all they want, but unless they want bad contracts in return or another injury-prone former star like Jermaine O'Neal, I don't think they will pull it off. Chance of trade: 5 percent Looks like chances are slim of Houston moving him because no team will offer anything of decent value for him.

Unless Houston simply cuts its losses, to keep cap space open in 2010, as Les keeps intimating, by trading for contracts that expire this year or next, plus draft picks (Sczerbiak/Snow, Hughes/Gooden). Or Les has to cave in on the 2010 thing.
Hmm but there's so many good teams struggling right now I wonder if they would take a chance on maybe the fact that Tmac is just dogging it. The Suns and Mavs don't look like they are going anywhere atm.
tmac for vince???....thats like trading a Daewoo for a hyundai..whats the difference, they both suck..lol...jk
I agree those perecentages were a bad idea. Anyway if the Nets were looking at dumping Carter's long term contract McGrady definately gives them a short term (ie, contract expires before 2010 FA) star power to sell tickets. IMO the media are underestimating McGrady's trade value right now. I get the feeling what's restricting the Rockets on making a deal is taking on contracts that would take them out of 2010 FA.
GMs all realize what many on this board are blind to. TSlack is done. He is not worth anything near $20+ million a year. Perhaps the only reason he's starting over Wafer is because the Rockets are trying to move him.
Theres alot of people who are trying to trade thier guys who say "who would want these guys", their trade value is low.
On the other hand, CP3 also a 5% of being traded just in case Cavs offers the Hornets LeBron + Future First Rounders. What a worthless article
I would only do TMAC for VC+ their 1st round pick and I think Nets might do it if they are aiming at 2010.
The bottom line is if we trade him to dump salary and don't get a playmaker in return, we are essentially giving up on this season (and maybe next) as far as contending for a title. I like the way our guys played with him out as much as anyone but without Tracy we don't have the playmaker and go-to guy we'll need in the playoffs. Of course all that depends on him actually showing up and being what we expect of him, which he has always done in the playoffs.
would new jersey even want him though? they might be able to get a better deal and more useful energy players that aren't tracy. I mean if we can trade like Artest and luther for vince I'd be ok with that. pg-Rafer sg-Vince sf-T-mac pf-Scola c-Yao I'm not one for nostalgia but come on that just screams 'what could've been' back in the toronto days.
