Do you guys find this racist??? At the very least, I can say that it was written in extremely poor taste and I encourage all to email and express your thoughts..

    Yao Ming
    "Ching-ngingbo-chaozhou-wah-ah-so."

(English translation: "Despite TLC's ominous warnings, actively pursuing waterfalls can be a magnificent and rewarding experience.")

I think I might have to make this my new sig though:

    Arnold Schwarzenegger
"In life, not everyone is declared a winner. In life, you are not rewarded just for participating. In life, sometimes just giving your all isn't good enough. I guess what I'm trying to say is, life is not the Special Olympics."

BTW, I don't think that is very racist.

Is he trying to make fun of Shaq's comments about Yao? If that's the case, it's not racist or in poor taste.

Eventhough it may or may not intend to be racist. It is insensitive and stereotyping.

Considering that so many people got offended by Shaq incident and made known that this kind of "joke" is not acceptable.

Repeating exactly the same thing, is even worse than Shaq incident.

    I am very upset.

Sounds like they are making a weak attempt at mocking the whole incident itself. As usual, the joke isn't funny. It's ESPN, what do you expect?

Would an article about a black NBA player with ebonics in the sub-title be racist?

I'd bet Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson would think so.

    Its really come to this?

Every little thing is going to be regarded as racist?

Geez...life is way too freakin short to be worrying about stuff like this.

Sorry I am not feeling anything! Its not funny or insensitive as it is posted! Its sounds quite beautiful to me....
"activly pursuing waterfalls can be a magnificent and rewarding experience"

As it is posted how can this be stereotyping? Most imaginative men can relate to such a vision.

I can't believe people are actually discussing this nonsense. I guess there should be a thread discussing the racism behind impressions of Arnold Schwarzennegger's accent when speaking English. So Yao is having typical difficulties learning Engrish...I guess someone who grew up speaking English then moved to China and tried to pick-up the language wouldn't be teased as well. If I was learning a Chinese dialect I would expect to be teased and would appreciate the humor, I would bet Yao has a similar opinion.
Poor southerners we should stop teasing them as well YAWL...

Thank you! We've become a country where "teasing" is the equiviant of "racism."

    Lighten up people! Please!
