I also just love Ron Artest with the Rockets. He gives them an aggressive edge, but after what happened last week against the Suns I think that pretty much goes without saying. The Rockets never would have gotten into it like that without him. Tracy McGrady? Come on. This is the same guy who said he wasn't coming to New Orleans if the All-Star game was there. That guy? Come on. So then when the All-Star game came around who all of a sudden gets an injury? Tracy McGrady. Yeah. And the best part about that fight was that Artest did not even move. He did not get involved. I felt bad when Steve Nash got knocked to the floor, that poor little guy. Rafer Alston's from the playground, so that's gonna happen. Shout out to him because that's my homie.

Rafer and I have an interesting history. There was one game back when I had courtside seats with the Hornets when I was talking trash to him and he made an inappropriate gesture toward me after he made a shot. I'd been heckling him the whole game, talking trash and I was very offended by that gesture so I kept talking. And then Tracy McGrady came over near me and bent over to make it look like he was catching his breath, but he had really come over to talk to me about it. Chris Paul came and did the same thing. He was like "Whatever you're doing it's working 'cause you're getting in his head." He stopped shooting after that. We had a good talk after the game and we worked things out. He's a good guy, so shout out to him.

Interesting thoughts about McGrady. Seems like Wayne's sentiments are similar to most of the posters here :p

I partly agree, but not with the first part of his statement. Alston would've probably almost gotten into with Barnes on that play from previous years.

Every time, people bring up the Rockets and something bad happens or about too, why does Ron Artest comes up when isn't even in the picture.

Rafer has gotten into it with a few rappers.

He almost got the fighting with "Game" at the Rucker park a few years ago.

Oh yeah and Wayne talking about T-mac didn't even make sense. T-mac didn't make it to the all-star game because he wasn't voted in.

definitely an interesting read by lil wayne doesn't realize that he didn't get into rafer's head. rafer is just kind of an inconsistent shooter...

I think the NBA didn't want him there if he didn't want to be there. He was up 100,000 votes with a day left or something and ended up losing to Iverson by 80,000. There's no way there was that big a swing in one night.

It would have looked bad for one of your star players to bail on the All-Star game, so McGrady was "injured" and Iverson got voted in somehow. I think Wayne is actually right about that part.

    LOL.

Wayne probably thinks he was so damaging to Rafer's psyche that he hasn't shot well since. :D

Why not? If it's something I wouldn't doubt about a rapper, it's their ability to put something down on paper. Rap is nothing but poetry...so I wouldn't be shocked that he can write a short article.

I know he looks like an idiot but he did take some college courses and was an honor student before he ditched school.

...are you really trying to make a case for Lil' Wayne being intelligent?

its not that hard to have someone else take a test in your place.

this dude doesn't know what he's talking about. t-mac didn't make the allstar team because he did not get enough votes not because he was injured and artest didn't get involved because he was on bench and knew if he steped out on to the court he would get suspended.

Pretty sure Wayne wrote it. He blogs everytime.

    It's not impossible.

I remember him going to college at the University of Houston.

yes, i did. Plenty of dumb people have been to college, including UH.

Seriously, has no one heard this man speak? I don't really hate him but he's usually too high to even put together more than a few bars that flow with the rest of his songs. I doubt he cares enough to right out his thoughts clearly.

Stop being so stereotypical, all rappers aren't dumb as rocks. In fact, most of these guys are intelligent, that's how they got to be successful and entrepreneurs. Lil Wayne was actually an Honors student in school. Don't judge a book by it's cover.

If you actually listen to his lyrics he is intelligent...but lets not turn this into one of those threads.
