Not really because this makes Brooks trade inevitable.

The Nuggets probably leaked that we were willing to offer Martin to jack up the price for Melo. I'm down with a Melo trade, but I would not give up Yao, Scola, Martin, or Lowry for him. I'd hate to see Brooks, Budinger, or Shane go, but I could live with it and see the value.

You wouldnt give up Lowry for Melo? Really? Lowry, our backup point guard, is a dealbreaker for you?

Maybe looked into his crystal ball and saw the rockets being used in the near future. 4 days later and here we are.

Like I said, we can give Nuggets FOUR....YES 4 freaking 1st round draft picks plus Battier and Jeffries for Anthony. I am sure nobody in this league can give them that!! Maybe THREE...then if they refuse...give them FOUR to see how they react. With 4 1st draft picks...i am sure they can get more than just Favors and Griffins...

I had a terrible post. Morey might have saw Martin being used by the Nuggets to get more. Funny how all those articles came out last week, now we here his name for the first time.

    This sounds much better

A package that involves Brooks as the key piece along with Shane/Jeffries, Hill/Bud, picks and cash seems the most beneficial to us.

We'll see what happens, but trading Martin over brooks isn't a smart plan. It'll also probably take a separate trade with the T.E. for birdman or someone to help get the deal done.

I'm a much bigger fan of this scenario than anything including Martin.

so, brooks is replaceable, i think martin is a rare underrated gem. guy is without a doubt one of the most efficient offensive players i have ever seen. just because he hasnt been with a good team (kings) is the onlly reason that he isnt a superstar. brooks isnt gonna get better imo, he's just staying at that level, i want more of a steve nash kind of guard, you know what i mean, i want a team first, shoot second kind of player. a leader, assists up the a$$. but thats just me.

I wouldnt think they would want Martin anyway. Martin is good but he is not particularly young or a franchise player. He is an expensive player that would do them no good. Both draft picks with a combination of expiring contracts and young rockets has always made more sense from their perspective.

I would prefer us to try to get our own Sergio Llull.

What's his contract situation over their in Europe?
