When talking about the Red Sox World Series win, and having Sox players in the Boston Garden during the first Celtics home game...

JVG: "When will they make Fever Pitch 2?"

Mike Breen: "Are you kidding me? Fever Pitch 2?"

JVG: "Have you seen the movie Fever Pitch? What a GREAT movie."

Mike Breen: "Great movie, oh comon'! You can say it's an entertaining movie, but GREAT movie?!"

JVG: "It's a GREAT movie Mike, you can't control what I think which movies are great..."


What can I say, the man is a comedic genius.

 

Did you see that commercial with him and PGA (Pierce, Garnett, Allen)?

(PGA are watching some baskebtall movie in an RV)
Allen-"Man, I love the hoosiers"
"Blah blah blah"
Garnett-"Wait... Whos driving the RV"
Pierce-"Van Gundy"
JVG standing there watching the movie with them teary eyed-"...Huh"

Then the RV starts to swerve.

 

Man, maybe I should tune into the games just to see what JVG says. LOL!

 

He really is made for this job. I remember when he worked as a broadcaster before he joined the Rockets and he was funny as hell then. Add the fact that he has so much knowledge of the game and he really is one of if not the best in the biz.

I can't stand walton. I still remember last year when he came to the conclusion that the suns were a better defensive team than houston based solely on the fact they had a better offense.

Van Gundy's funny. Mike Breen is a good partner for him whereas, last year, Dike Tirico was..well IS...pathetic.

I think Van Gundy would make a pretty good GM for some struggling organization. His knowledge is very useful for that kinda job/

 

You don't like Walton's over exaggerations?

 

I think Van Gundy should coach and do commentary at the same time. It isn't fair to the Rockets not to have him coaching, and it isn't fair to NBA fans not to have him announcing. While he is at it, I think he could probably improve our PG play if we started him.

 

JVG is a freaking hilarious...brilliant.
