6/28: From ESPN Insider's list of best free agents (yes, written by Chad Ford):

    15. Andres Nocioni, G/F, Tau Ceramica
The skinny: Nocioni, a native of Argentina, is widely considered the best NBA player not currently in the NBA. The 25-year-old, 6-foot-6 swingman is a strong, athletic, aggressive player who has shined on the Argentine national team and in Europe. He's averaging 13.7 ppg and 5.7 rpg in 25 minutes per game for Tau. Nocioni is a solid perimeter shooter with NBA 3-point range, but he shines posting guys up and playing the mid-range game. Teams have wanted him for some time, but a big buyout with Tau has prohibited him from making the leap. To get him this year, a team will have to give up a large chunk of its mid-level exception. He's worth it. Look for the Sixers, Spurs, Nuggets, Rockets, Celtics and Magic to show the most interest.

While I merely recognize the name and not that player's abilities, I have to state that anyone that played on that Argentina team has earned my respect. They have a decent amount of talent and play incredibly smart. Their passing was just beautiful. Isn't that what we're looking for in our new Rockets blueprint?

Boki to Noki for the alley oop slam, lol.

There are enough teams on that list to make you think he has talent, but I've never seen him in action.

    I'll post this again.

Chad Ford, 2003: "Darko is really one of a kind. He runs the floor, handles the ball, shoots the NBA 3 and plays with his back to the basket, so you can slot him in at the 3, 4 or 5 positions. OK, a few other guys can do that too; what sets Darko apart is his toughness in the post. You have to love a guy who has the footwork to spin by an opponent but still prefers to lower a shoulder and bang. Fact is, Milicic plays in attack-mode at both ends of the floor. The more you push, the more he pushes back. While he won't be asked to carry the Pistons, he's capable of doing this earlier than you think."

Well, Darko might still be all of those things, but we won't know because Larry Brown refused to play him because he is a rookie. Remember how bumbling Yao was his first month of his career. Imagine if Larry Brown were the coach and hadn't played him until this year? Yao's development would have been brutally stunted and we wouldn't be able to get Tracy McGrady. Larry Brown's refusal to play Darko, even as a back-up, really screwed him up so we won't know how good he is until late until next year, assuming Brown even plays him then.

Andres Nocioni makes the best chocolate, even better than Swiss Toblerone.
