http://proxy.espn.go.com/nba/columns/story?columnist=ford_chad&id=1907203 McGrady and the Rockets will get something done before the deadline. They didn't trade away three starters just to watch him opt out of his contract and become an unrestricted free agent next summer. He'll get whatever he asks for. A number of players are still on the wait and see list. Nikoloz Tskitishvili, Dajuan Wagner, Jared Jeffries, Marcus Haislip, Bostjan Nachbar, Juan Dixon, Curtis Borchardt, Raul Lopez, Casey Jacobsen and Frank Williams have yet to hear what their respective teams will do. It's likely that Skita, Wagner, Jeffries and Jacobsen will have their options picked up. Haislip, Nachbar, Borchardt, Lopez and Williams could be out of luck. Several other players from the class including Ryan Humphrey, Qyntel Woods and Dan Dickau likely won't see their options picked up. In fact, all three could be waived before the season starts.
When is the deadline? There was an article, on SI I think, that said that the Rockets are going to wait on extending him and prefer to see how Yao and Tracy play first. I really, really doubt that, but it is getting pretty close to the season and how hard can it be to negotiate a MAX deal? Give him what he wants and be done with it.
That's what I think, Kirilenko got his extension today, Tracy better be next. Yeah I found that out earlier today, they better not wait till October 31st though, this wait is making me worry a bit.
Ha! I just don't want the Rocket's screwing around with Tracy's pysche by asking him to prove something first, I guess I shouldn't worry about it. It WILL get done.
went to notre dame, first round pick of the jazz then played for memphis. and i think he's a small forward
I'm not worried about T-Mac's extention. I think it will be done soon. Ryan Humphrey plays more like a four than a 3 IMO. I think he is a tweener. He won't be able to help us.
who cares didnt chad ford write this? That probably means Jacobsen and Skita wont have their options picked up and Boki will
