http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/insider/columns/story?columnist=hollinger_john&id=2690890 First, relevant to the Rockets: Then, others you might be interested in (cause many wanted us to draft some of these guys): "Should be starting" "Solid but not spectacular" "Spectacular but not solid" Incomplete: "Under-the-radar studs"
Since CD said they would have picked Sefolosha over Gay, could you post him. Also, what section was Billy under, "Incomplete."
Thanks for the post. Interesting quote on Gay. I don't pay attention, but if it's true that he's settling for jumpers, it's a good thing we don't have him (as we've got 20 threads already talking about someone else with this problem).
Of course, all of those guys mentioned were high-to-mid first rounders.. to have V-Span mentioned at ALL along with those guys is a triumph of sorts.
Sefolosha was under "The Projects" section Vspan was listed under "Imports" which is basically your Euros.
Any chance letting us know what Insider is talking about concerning 'Lee not seeing eye to eye w/ Isaiah'? Pretty please?
i don't get what the note to Coach K about vspan's 3 pt % means. does it mean K set up a bad defense that let vspan hit against us? does he mean coach K should feel bad that the only good shooting of vspan' life came against us and cost K the gold and he's just rubbing it in? does he mean we gave him too few 3's and should've made him take more? does he mean we shouldn't have fouled him on the 3's? i guess i'm confused.
I didn't watch the game in full in the olympics, but I'm fairly certain it's worded to mean that we (Team USA) should have played off of him in the game and dared him to shoot..
Everybody knew that this rookie class was bad, then the draft came and all the GMs started to build these guys up, now reality has set in: this rookie class sucks.
I read it to mean Coach K shouldn't feel too bad because VSpan is proving that the game against the US was just a crazy fluke where he couldn't miss. It really had nothing to do with defnse because Spanoulis was throwing things up that were normally past his range, contested, etc.
