Doesn't make any sense with regards to better set in terms of players for the future last year. We lost who? Joey, Papa, Troy, Nick, Canaan? Not exactly future material..unless they just look at age but that would be very lazy..

Also management is less than last year, how is that? We had arguably the best off-season along with San Antonio. Our market is less attractive than last year or around the same..?I'd say Houston has become more attractive due to Harden's MVP season, our ability to keep our core and having Lawson on board as well.

Money wise we are very well set for the future with Lawson & Dwight's contracts. Sure I get that Golden State is on top with their young core, but we should be top 3 easily.

    Spurs are too high imo.

A team with LMA, Green, and Leonard doesn't scare me much.

Thanx J.R. You never fail to deliver!

I have no respect for Ford and Pelton and these ranks just prove me right again.
Why the heck is Chicago over Houston? When TWO of their 5 starters are over the age of 33 and other two very important players are banged up bigmen on the wrong side of 30?
Why the heck is Detroit so low while Philly is at 17? And Magic bellow the Sixers?
Detroit has a great coach and a cornerstone already in Drummond while Philly has noone with definitive star potential? (who is healthy).
And putting Boston in the top 10 is a disgrace and a clear BIAS.
They freaking put a team built around Anthony Davis under a team built around Marcus Smart.

    yeah ot to mention this.
I am a admittedly Bulls hater but it can't be only me who sees the insanity behind that.
Chicago has one of the WORST management in the NBA. The GM and president are meddlers who not only run Thibs out of town but they also had a fistfight with a previous coach.

    Because....ESPN. :p

    Doesn't make sense.

Also love on Chicago how they keep harping about "If Rose returns to form..."

How many years are we gonna hear that?

Like, that Derrick Rose is gone. MVP Derrick Rose is gone. Stop it already.

If Yao Ming can return to form. . .

or we can go current: If Dwight Howard returns to Orlando Magic form

Was about to post this. Gotta have East Coast teams on the list or the ESPN offices implode in a cloud of antimatter.

What I really don't get is how Cleveland is ahead of so many teams in terms of "Market". Houston, Chicago, Boston....

Because Lebron. Wherever Lebron plays he sells jerseys and everyone around the world watches and the owner makes the most money by having the most expensive tickets.

Really? So a no defence rookie coach is in your mind better than Mchale?

They're at 14, which is way too high, but that's just ESPN favouratism.

    This makes no sense

We were 4th last season trotting out Harden, Howard and a bunch of scrubs at least until Smith and Brewer and reached WCF despite injuries to our players.

Now we only added Lawson and a solid bench and we drop a position while the bulls do nothing and are up to 4

    LOL BSPN

If Howard returns to form, just give us the championship now.

Yeah just don't understand how the Bulls are so highly ranked.
I mean Rose is not going to be 2011-Rose and will miss games to rest his knee.
Taj Gibson is supposed to be out till December/January, last I heard.
Gasol is another year older and was really showing his age towards the end of the season.
The just fired one of the best regarded coaches in the league for a coach with no previous NBA coaching experience.
And it's all under a management that is regarded league wide as one that is cheap and messes around with the team's affairs a little too often.

Even though the Bulls are in the East, they are pretty messed up. Not as solid as other teams like the Warriors, Rockets, Spurs, etc.
