Cavs should be at the bottom. Lucking into 3 #1 pick in 4 years and having Lebron fall into your lap twice isn't good management......it's the one monkey out of hundreds that flipped heads 5 times in a row.
This is the "Top Execs" rankings. Rockets were ranked #5 last year for Top Execs: http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/10711364/2014-nba-front-office-rankings-top-executives
Lucky to have him. All Texas teams are ranked incredibly high on the list. And people say we just a bunch of hicks and cowboys down herr
Presti traded away a top 5 overall player in the NBA and does not have a championship as a counter argument to the trade, I don't think he should be any higher at all. I guess part of Presti's downfall will fall under the "owner" category (remember it's coach, GM/decision maker, owner) because the owner is too cheap to pay his players for OKC.
Its all about the wins and perception, like a popular contest. Back in the summer, when those "ugly incident" assistant coaches fired one by one in GSW, when those emails and tapes got disclosed in Atl, I am pretty sure they were both at the bottom portion of this list. And somehow a few months later, while none had been changed in both offices and one even still in a long leave, both arised to the top class of exe in the league. LOL
Morey should win Exec of the Year. Golden State has many smart execs and coaches who accumulated talent and devised effective strategies. The Rockets would be nowhere without Morey.
By your logic, he should be fired immediately for not hiring smarter exes and coaches to help this team.
Maybe we should wait until the Warriors have more than one great season before awarding them 2nd place? What Morey did with the Rockets is nothing short of astonishing when you consider all the average teams that have wound up tanking instead of turning into title contenders over the same timespan. I can agree with the Spurs at #1 though. Talk about a track record.
Well if you like to talk about track records, since Morey had been hired as the Rockets GM, there are definitely more than 2 teams advanced into the 2nd round and further into the NBA playoff. Not to mention the teams have won it all.
(cough, cough)... you forgot the main one Spoiler Houston Rockets 2015' NBA Champions GO ROCKETS!!! ....... ....... .......
