I apologize if this has been posted already.

Finish this sentence: If I ever have to play on a team without Jason Kidd I will be ...

    Jefferson:
... retired in a year. He makes people want to play and he makes people better. He's taught me so much. It's going to be interesting when we don't play together.

Like a reasonable person should, Jefferson doesn't come out and say Jason's made up his mind, as it's probably true, but he does insinuate that Kidd's leaning toward leaving. Still, Webber and others, arguably Duncan, were in similar situations and in the end, it all came down to $$$. We'll just have to wait and see.

    quit reaching.

maybe jefferson's saying this because kidd is in the tail end of his prime and may play another 4-5 years, while richard probably has another 14 years in him.

Big words from a rookie who needs a hand to hold onto...

It seems that he doesn't know how to play in the NBA w/o Jason Kidd...

No he's just praising Jason Kidd. In fact he didn't say anything arrogant at all, all he did was praise Kidd and talk about how he made him a better player. Trust me Jefferson would do fine in the NBA without Kidd.

    I'll play devil's advocate here.

Jefferson will be a very good NBA player. I wouldn't have minded if we wound up with him. Don't get me wrong: Eddie could grow into a monster player. But if we lack anything on this team, it's a small forward who plays perimeter D (well, T-Mo), can shoot, handle the rock...and he seems well-spoken and intelligent.

Please: no anger from Eddie Griffin fans, I do like EG.

Not a chance. Jefferson has twice the heart and pride of Shanderson.

I concede misreading the quote. Feel dumb for starting a thread over it.

I actually agree that Jefferson is like Shandn Anderson. Maybe he'll end up better, but right now, his strengths and weaknesses seem very similar. Reading the feature on Jefferson made me think that maybe we could use Jefferson at SF, but it doesn't look like he's that good of a shooter and therefore not much different from Shandon.
