Woo hoo! My dream job continues! ESPN.com has invited me back as the San Antonio Spurs beat writer for this season. I'm so pumped! (and yes, I tried to get the Rockets last year, but the position was already filled)
Congrats drapg!!! It's only a matter of time before you are sitting next to Stu Scott on Sportscenter. BOOOOOOOOOYYYYYYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAA
SJC: No. But I don't mind one bit. Being published on ESPN is a dream come true, and for it to continue is more than enough payment for me. Mr. Clutch: Yes, you are correct sir. BobFinn*: Why, thank you. I'm actually trying out for ESPN's version of American Idol, where the network travels around the nation in search for the next "Sportscenter" host. I know I won't win, but the experience is more than enough reward for me. (God, do I sound like a freakin' cliche or what?)
Congratulations! I enjoy reading stuff from the local fantasy correspondents. I've read your articles many times last year and think that you did a great job. Hopefully you can still keep up with the Spurs now that you are in Houston.
Super genius! Tim and I offer nothing but the pure groovetastic support to which you deserve. Have a great season, Drappy.
I would committ suicide if ESPN asked me to do anything with the Spers organization. Hey, but congratulations to you.
yep. and you must bash tony parker in every article. something like: "Spurs defeat Nuggets; Tony Parker is gay" or something to that effect...
So do you have any catch phrases or gimmicks? It seems like all the great ones did. Dan Patrick - "En fuego." "You can't stop him, you can only hope to contain him." Stuart Scott - "Cool as the other side of the pillow." "He must be the bus driver cuz he was takin' him to school." Craig Kilborn - "He's not my vydas. He's not your vydas. He's Arvydas." "Rauf, Rauf, Rauf is on fire." "JUMANJI!"
More like: Spurs and Lakers bench break out in a brawl. However, the always classy Spers regret it later on.
Congrats, drapg. I thought I heard somewhere that the anchors on Sportscenter don't make jack ****...something like less than $25K a year! But *supposedly* people take the low pay because of the exposure they are able to obtain by being on that show. I doubt that is the case with some of the more well-known ones though like Chris Berman, Dan Patrick, etc.
Awesome man.....Congrats........Try and slip something positive about the Rockets in for us..........Dont let the negativity rub off on you from here..........Jealous Bastards!!!!!
