That person said Clausen was "sucker-punched" by a fan as he left an establishment after having dinner with his parents. The fan allegedly said something to Clausen and/or a female acquaintance. A South Bend police spokesman said that no police reports were filed over the weekend involving Clausen, according to the Chicago Tribune. The newspaper also reported that the name of the bar was CJ's and that a bartender at the establishment said that Clausen had been there with family members and other Irish upperclassmen after Notre Dame's loss to Connecticut on Senior Day. The source told ESPN.com that the injury is not expected to keep Clausen from playing this weekend against Stanford. Joe Schad is a college football reporter for ESPN.com.

Yeah, 'cuz Kris Brown let the Titans rush for 228 yards, dropped so many easy passes, and gave up many third down conversions, and intercepted a pass none... that darn Kris... he didn't stop Lendale White's rushing touchdown either!

i love how its just being assumed at this point weis is done. i dont like weis, but now i'm thinking it would be funnier if they decide to keep him
Haha...it's the worst kept secret in college football right now. Once they officially get rid of him I really think they're going to be able to land a highly prolific coach. Somebody like Meyer or Stoops would not surprise me at all -- especially if Clausen, Tate and all that NFL talent stays.
if weis is gone, i think clausen and tate are gone as well. i dont think they'll land meyer or stoops. they have powerhouses at their schools now. they'll go with an up and comer, harbaugh, kelly, or someone like that
Urban Meyer is going to leave Florida for Notre Dame. His lord and savior timothy tebow is ascending up to heaven in a few weeks.
