http://sports.espn.go.com/boston/nba/news/story?id=5318897 Want, or do not want? I guess Boston is looking for a player though; would you trade a player on the Rockets for the 19th pick?
Not sure they are looking for money. Oh, and the link has more stuff, but I'm following rules. The "more stuff" is about Boston though, so read if you want to.
Doesn't it say that the Celtics are wanting money that they would spend on a 1st rounder for the pick?
Hmm, you're right. I saw the word "trade" and immediately thought people, not money. I can't read; it's late, gimme a break.
just pay them and package that pick with a future one for a higher pick. or package all of that with the 14th and get a higher pick
It was rumored that they wanted cash and a future pick. Both of which we have. That 18th pick could really come in handy.
Boston dangling K-Perk and 19th pick for high lottery pick http://nba.fanhouse.com/2010/06/24/source-boston-offering-perkins-and-pick-in-draft-talks/
Wow seriously? Boston must be out of their minds. Unless its a top 3 pick no way do you give up both Perkins and the 19th pick. I'm not even sure I'd trade them the top 2 lol...no way Turner turns out better than Perkins and the 19th.
The Celtics are offering Perkins and the 19th pick to move up into the lottery. If Houston doesn't get their man at 14, they could trade the 14th pick to Boston. They get a backup center in Perkins, and only move down 5 spots in the first round. Not a Plan A or Plan B option, but something definitely worth looking at.
I overlooked the comment about being a high pick, but the Rockets would have to include a player in the trade anyways because they are over the cap, so that could entice Boston to settle for 14, but it all depends on the player in question.
