Trey Wingo just reported. If this belongs in the monster thread, I apologize. Casserly says that it's either Bush or Williams.

It deserves it's own thread and title should read reggie bush or mario williams.

I'd be happy with bush but mario would be an intriguing pick as well.....

    Here's the story:

By KRISTIE RIEKEN= AP Sports Writer=

HOUSTON (AP) _ The Houston Texans will take Southern Cal running back Reggie Bush or North Carolina State defensive end Mario Williams with the first pick in Saturday's draft, general manager Charley Casserly said Wednesday.

The Texans dashed the hopes of University of Texas fans everywhere, who have been clamoring for the team to pick Vince Young, a Houston native who led the Longhorns to a Rose Bowl victory over Bush and USC.

"We came to the conclusion that to draft a quarterback, whether it be Vince Young, Matt Leinart or Jay Cutler, was not the best thing for this football team," Casserly said. "The best thing for this football team was to use the first pick in this draft to add a premiere player at another position."

Casserly said that part of their decision-making process involved contacting other teams to see if there was any interest in trading for their pick.

"Right now we have nobody interested in that first pick so we have gone ahead and begun negotiations with two players," Casserly said.

I'm glad this damn thing is almost overwith. The b****ing and whining will be as unbearable as the pre-emptive arguing, but at least there's less uncertainty to compound the angst.

Well, with VY in the picture, I would've still had the Texans as my #1 team, but now . . . Go Steelers!

I do hope that Bush works out for the Texans, and I'll still be a fan, but I'll be more interested in seeing if the Steelers take LenDale White (if he falls that far) than what the Texans do.

It's not over. The only way it will be over is if VY flops. If Bush is great and VY is great the debate will go on. If VY is great and Bush flops then expect to see human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together, mass hysteria.

Don't let the door hit ya.....

No room for bandwagoners. What about when the Steelers fall down from where they are now?

What part of Pittsburgh are you from?

    **** the Steelers!

As far as the Texans, I hope Bush brings it but man I think passing on VY is gonna come back and haunt us.

There's only 1 goal of being an NFL franchise-win a Super Bowl.
