[ESPN] Astros sign Trever Miller

    Is it possible that the Astros have actually added a lefty that may actually attempt to do his job? (ie - get lefties out).

    Between him and Gallo (our lefty that gets righties out), we'll have both sides of the plate covered. Seriously, though... Miller was decent enough in his short time in Houston... I remember Dierker having a lot of faith in him.

    Hopefully our already strong bullpen will have NO weaknesses next year.

    But who will ever forget those back-to-back LCS games where Gallo came in, threw one pitch, and got his batter out? Quite possibly the two most effective relief outings in LCS history. :)

    Now, all we have to do is get someone to replace Everett, have Bagwell retire, and have Ausmus become a .300 hitter.

    I doubt it... Miller's better than Gallo, but he's nowhere close to being able to be trusted as a late-inning guy.

    Ausmus was a .300 hitter as the Astros were making their push towards the playoffs (July-September).
