ESPN annouced tonight that Greg Oden has been informed that he will be chosen FIRST

Ruins all the drama, just like when the Texans picked Mario Williams and signed him or whatever before the draft starts. What a buncha BS.

 

I don't think there was any drama; for at least the past 2 months it has been obvious that Oden will be the #1 pick. I firmly believed that the recent "Durant had a nice workout with the Blazers" talk was a complete smokescreen.

Here in portland they are talking it on the radio that it's a done deal. The Blazers will draft Oden with the No.1 pick, which seems to be the concensus among their scouts and coaches.

 

and the crap part is theyre probably going to stall the whole 15 minutes for the draft pick -___-

 

That's right, I just saw it on Fox 12. I'm going to hit up the draft party at the Rose Garden tomorrow to boo the pick.

i understand the pick but i would think a core of durant/b-roy/aldridge would be a solid trio. However, for immediate impact and all around game (defense especiall) i see why they would want oden.

 

Conley Sr hasn't confirmed.

Portland never has said they are taking Oden.

Even the report doesn't say they are going to keep him.

Portland should take Oden then trade him to Seattle for the #2 +++.

 

wow, this is a bigger surprise than finding out that spider-man 3 was #1 on its opening weekend

 

heard an interview with oden this morning where he said that the report "IS NOT TRUE." that he has not been told that. portland confirmed oden's comments.
