The bruise is now a hairline fracture. He is considered day to day and expected to play by the end of the week.

    ------------------------------------------------------------

HOUSTON -- Houston Rockets guard Bob Sura, who was already on the inactive list after offseason knee surgery, was scheduled to have surgery to repair a ruptured disc in his back on Tuesday, the team announced.

Rockets officials are unsure when he will return.

Forward Dion Glover had surgery to repair a bony defect in his right knee in Atlanta recently and his return is also uncertain.

The Rockets also announced that guard Rafer Alston, who has been sidelined with what was said to be a leg bruise, has been diagnosed with a hairline fracture in his fibula. He will miss Tuesday's game at Dallas and after that is listed as day-to-day.

I don't think he's in the doghouse...we desperately need our guards right now and JVG would kill to have Rafer back in the lineup.

If I remember correctly, Michael Jordan used to have the same thing and out for most of the season.

It's time to suck it up. I've played with a broken wrist and I didn't complain. Of course my shot suddenly disappeared and well as catching the ball. Time to feed Spree's family.
