TNT should just run a little ticker at the bottom of the screen to explain what's going on. My bro called me last night to ask. Get with the program people.
At least he sits on the right side of the desk so his left side is facing away from the camera. Then it's not so obvious.
Yeah its quite unfortunate. He's had it for a while, there was news and a public disclosure by him on TNT that he had cancer.
I read an article on him, and he seems like a pretty interesting guy. Works his butt of on inside the NBA, and adopted a very ill child, very religious family guy, a "walk the walk" brand of religious guy. Interesting article. I love him on TNT. He is responsbile for my favorite Chucky Brown Fan Club moment - I was falling asleep with my cat in my lap, and Inside the NBA was doing a piece on a very funny website - the guy on the sonics, Drobniak, i think. Anyway, Barkley didn't get it, and Ernie was like: "Come on, Charles, that is hilarious! That is the best website in the N..., well, okay, Chucky Brown has the best website in the NBA, but this is hilarious!" My recollection is that my cat looked at me to verify that he actually said it. Nonetheless, Ernie is a great CBFC guy. I am sure my cat did nothing of the sort, but Ernie made my night with that. Notice all the wide-shots on him now, they do not do many closeups on him. My wife is a doc, and she thinks he looks bad, actually, like other than the tumor. Sometimes she gets a "ooh, that person is sicker than they are letting on" look, rarely, but she had it when she saw him last week. Get well, EJ, you are awesome.
yeah he made an announcement during allstar weekend cause it was really bad then. i really hope he gets better in the off season; bball on tnt would suck without him.
