610 AM was discussing something earlier that always struck me as a little funny. When Houston first introduced the U.S. Men's Clay Court Championship they focused the advertising on players such as Agassi, Sampras, Roddick, and Gambill. Gambill?? Who the **** is that?? Then they show some bare chested guy playing tennis with Mattress Mac yelling at the top of his lungs, HOUSTON JUST GOT HOTTER!! Well whatever does it for ya Mac. There is nothing like seeing billboards of a bare chested Gambill all over Houston to make you want to go and watch some tennis. The funny thing is I don't think Gambill has ever made it out of the first round of the Men's Clay Court Championships. He sure didn't this year. He loss today in straight sets to the well known Luis Horna. Yet he still gets pub for the advertisements promoting this Championship.
