The cop pulled me over for speeding and put my race down as W. I am not W but he listed me as a whitey anyway, is this enough to get the ticket dismissed?
I don't know. I'm gonna go ahead and guess no? Also...hispanic? edit: maybe the question should be amended in this case.. H?
You see Dirty, what he was tryin to do is call you a dumba$$ for speedin. I think this was his strategery....
lol, is this a serious question? Cops always put my race down as white and Im not AND Ive paid for all the tickets so, no.
Yeah it's enough! Just don't show up for court...they will never find you...they are looking for a white person!!!!
I've recently gone to court for a ticket. The cop wrote my wife's name on the ticket (because the car is registered in her name) even though I was driving. I talked with the cop before the hearing started and he was surprised to see his mistake. When it got to our case he asked the judge to dismiss it because it was his error. I spoke to him again after the hearing and he apologized for wasting my time. So you should definitely go to court on any ticket if you have the time. You've got a great chance of reducing the fine if not getting it dismissed outright.
I'm a lawyer and what this man says is correct. You can pretty much tear up that ticket and forget about it
Did you speed? Maybe you should man up, accept responsibility and pay the ticket or take defensive driving. True. Race and ethnicity are two different things. Technically speaking. about 60% of hispanics and latinos in the US are considered white.
Waitress at Monk's, handing Elaine a menu: "Here you go." Elaine, to the black waitress: "Long day?" Waitress: "Yeah, I just worked a triple shift." Elaine: "I hear ya, Sister." Waitress: "Sister?" Elaine, as Darryl comes into Monk's: "Yeah. It's OK. My boyfriend's black. Here he is. See?" Darryl: "Hi, Elaine." Elaine: "Hey." Waitress: "He's black?" Elaine: "Yeah." Darryl: "I'm black?" Elaine: "Aren't you?" Waitress, leaving: "I'll give you a couple minutes to decide." Darryl: "What are you talking about?" Elaine: "You're black. You said we were an interracial couple." Darryl: "We are. Because you're Hispanic." Elaine: "I am?" Darryl: "Aren't you?" Elaine: "No. Why would you think that?" Darryl: "Your name's Benes, your hair, and you kept taking me to those Spanish restaurants." Elaine: "That's because I thought you were black." Darryl: "Why would you take me to a Spanish restaurant because I'm black?" Elaine: "I don't think we should be talking about this." Darryl: "So, what are you?" Elaine: "I'm white." Darryl: "So, we're just a couple of white people?" Elaine: "I guess." Darryl: "Oh." Elaine: "Yeah. So do you want to go to the Gap?" Darryl, leaving with Elaine: "Sure."
