Why ? Because he's a likable person, with a great game that soon will get him into superstar status ? fact that he's coming from a background that unfamiliar with bball, shouldering the expectation and pride of his fans & nation ?

Yao is about 99% of the reason i even bother to post & read here.

Why don't you skip these threads if you are sick of them? I am sick of trade threads for now and I just don't read them any more.

Exactly, it is not if someone is holding you feet to the fire forcing you to read every single thread posted. Many people enjoy the Yao threads and there is something for everyone in case you don't.

Thanks for starting another Yao Ming thread. It gives me another opportunity to say how much like him as a player and a person. I am worried about his stamina, but if he can solve whatever health issue is causing this, I see no reason why he can't become one of the all time greats. I remember the Dallas game last year when Ming got 30. Wow, I couldn't beleive his moves and his shots. I would love to see more of what he did in that game. It was an amazing performance.

Why do you think Yao has health issue? He just needs to improve his stamina.

I am more concerned about the reports of his stinky feet.

Like Gun said, You don't have to look at the thread if you don't want to read it. He's the reason alot of people are here. He's the reason why there are so many rocket fans (not just yao ming fans) now. He's the reason why most Warrior tickets are sold out when the Rockets come to town. Right now, he holds the pride of alot of people. Why not just let them enjoy it?

I never thought about it like that, it puts things into a clearer perspective. When I first started following the rox it was purely because of Olajuwon and because I really liked him. I guess this is no different, and with time things will change.
