I'm not going to pile on him, the ball took a freakish bounce on a divot at the worst time, it was basically 1 in a million - and Robinson had made several impressive saves early in the first half. England deserved to lose, really, and that flukish goal wasn't what cost them. The funniest thing though has got to be the Borat face in the background when it happens; perfect.
usually GK's make that divot at the corner of the box to put the ball in for goal kicks. guess it came back to bite him in the ass.
England played a very poor game. They had no chance to win or even tie the game. The mistake didn't make a difference. They would still have lost by 0-1. I think they should worry more about the performance of their strikers than the goalie.

Poor Robinson, he had a couple very good saves before then. Gary Neville is partially responsible for that own goal. When you back pass the ball to your goalkeeper, you never kick in the direction to your goal. Even Gary himself said that in an after match interview. Anyone thinks McClaren is the right coach for England? 3-5-2 seems like a suicidal formation for this England team against team like Croatia. If the wings provided sufficient help defense or attacked their opponents frequently, 3-5-2 should be a very flexible and efficient formation. And I still dont understand why Lampard could never play decently for his nation.
England sucks! This video is going to be an all-time classic with the Borat billboard in the backgorund. Couldnt have scripted it any better.
I think #5 (whomever he may be) should take partial blame for it as well since he pointed Neville to pass it back to the goalie. Lucky for the goalie tho, it's Neville's own goal on the book since he touched it last.
