I watch the respective playoffs and cannot understand why East teams are allowed to go 3 series deep before they face a real opponent. I know it's been bad in previous years, but this is ridiculous. Even the nailbiters in the East consist of each team bumbling down the court and trying to hand the game to the other.

Like the man in the beer ad says, it's a Traveshamockery.

Tis a shame the Rox are West, not East. Rudy would still be coach and the guys would be nationally renowned.

I love how announcers try to mask the East's inept play with comments like:

    "Wow, that's GREAT DEFENSE."

Ummm... no. Most of the time it is just the other team's inability to score. :p

Detriot and Indy are top 6 teams in the league and NJ is probably top 8, it is not as bad as in years past and the finals will be entertaining.

I think either Indy or Detroit will give a good series but definately will lose to either team from the west in the end

The Detroit-NJ 3OT game killed me. The announcers kept oohing and aahing over the "suspense," which consisted of playground turnovers, shots, and bricks.

The Eastern Conference is a Travisty, a Sham, and a Mockery. It is a Travishamockery!

Only the Pacers can hang with the Big 5 in the West. Detroit is at the Grizzlies' level. The Nets are about as good as the Rockets, which is not very. All other East teams couldn't have made the playoffs in the West.

Kidd-ing aside, both the Pistons and Pacers would have contended for home court in the West this year, IMO.

However, there is little team depth in the East and lots of good teams in the West (with only Clippers being Eastlike).

What do you think of removing confrenses and make it top 16 teams make the playoffs and you play each team 3 times a year

Even on their worst night, the Rox could not emulate what is happening in that game.

i'm with Will completely... nevertheless i have enjoyed the estern conference finals because the two teams are evenly matched.... decent D and dreadful offense... but really there D is no better than West... it is really starting to ****e me the way everyone talks up the D being played in the eastern conference final.... D like that is the norm in the West.... certainly for most teams... and to match it they can play offense aswell... what a damn surprise

not even sure the finals will go to 4 games.... the east will white flag it a couple games in

count the quarters where a team has scored over 20 points... it won't take long and many hands
