Something new from Mo Taylor tonight. Not only did he play a solid game (who was that I saw going for the big offensive rebound setting up Mobley for a three in the fourth quarter?) but he showed some emotion out there.

He even slammed the ball to the floor when time expired. Good to see some consistency and emotion from Mo.

Yes I definitely feel that Mo is showing what he is truly capable of. He would have been even better if he had gotten a couple of touches down low in the final minutes. The 19-9 play of Mo, and the excellent play of Hakeem were the only positives tonight.

With every pasiing game I am becoming lots more satisfied with our new PF. You're right Jeff..he showed a ton of hustle and heart out there tonite..i missed the last two games..has this been a steady trend, or is he still good one game and bad the next??

Since his horrendous game against Vancouver, Mo has been extremely consistent averaging 18 pts and 8 rebounds. We need MO of the same.

Outstanding!! If Mo can keep it up..we go from oneof the weakest front-courts to at least 4th in the West..not too bad!!

Now if we can keep our guards from shoving their collective heads up their as#es..we might get somewhere this year!!

    Maybe...maybe no

Getting slammed in the face by Shaq with no call can do that to you. But I agree, it is good for him to show some fire, for fire is the fuel that fans the rebounding flame. (How's that for a terrible analogy and mixed metaphor!)

O.K., I'm eating crow! Great game by Mo, but I want more of this, everyday to be exact if he deserves to be here next year with his cap space expectations.

He was even involved while he was on the bench too. I remember watching tonight in about the 3rd quarter when Mo was on the bench that we were on are way back and we made a score and he jumped up and down while he was on the bench waving his towel yelling.

    Now that is eMOtion.

    Jeff -

Ok I saw him slam the ball at the end of the game, but come on dude admit that slamming of the ball was so weak. The ball didnt even go high, and I didnt think he used all his power. That made me sick, seeing him slam the ball acting like he cared. [IMG]

We lost, that is all that matters...we lost.

Mo played great...but I would take the old Mo, if we won.

Stupid play down the stretch cost the Rockets yet again.

Too young, going to the lottery again.

    Sigh

And I hope we get a lottery player in this draft and not some big idiot [IMG] The kid from Seton Hall would be a perfect pick.

da dakota, how can you honestly say were a lottery team. Look were 13-12 not bad and have probably had one of the leagues toughest schedules to date. One game should not be an indicator as if the rockets are lottery bound. Yes they shouldve won tonight but it didnt happen. Out of the possible western conference playoff teams i see us better than minnesota, phoenix and dallas..the season is a long way from over and the way mo taylor is playing the rockets will make a postseason run this yr.

Rudy T SUCKS! The man needs to figure out:
-That its okay to play Shandon in clutch situations.
-Mobes doesn't have to get the ball every single time at the end of the game.
-That its okay to actually give the ball to Steve or Mo at the end of the game.

call me an optimist rockets03, but id say yes..unless phoenix gets a good center they dont understand how to play defense..steve always torches kidd..with mo playing well i dont see why not..hey look other than sacramento games and the one vs. portland on the road the rockets have played very well against the contenders..and an improved mo makes us even better..plus hes actually a pretty good defensive forward..once shandon gets going west..watch out

    CompaqC,
Do we need to remind you that the season series with PHX is even at a game a piece? How can you say we're NOT better.

Don't give me any garbage about Penny and Googs being out. Penny Hardaway is a good player, but he's not gonna carry a team to the Finals on his back. And Googs? I saw the game where he got injured. I'm amazed he can walk let alone play hoops again.

About Mo slamming the ball. I replayed the tape and he slammed it HARD. It was a bright spot in a dismal ending. eMOtion lives!!!

I thought this was another billy squier thread. [IMG]

Mo has the will, but he has no lateral movement, whatsoever. The emotion is not lacking. It's there. But Mo's bone strutcure is marshmallowy, and that hampers, his, already, puppet like reaction.
