    Concerning Outlook Express-

Is there any way to create multiple accounts on the same identity with the same type of server. In other words, I have two RoadRunners account I want to check on the same Outlook Express from 2 different people. They are both POP3 accounts.

I can use message rules to filter all the emails to each person to a mailbox I create, but when adding the new mail account, a new local folder is not created, so if i try to send a message, it is automatically from the default person. I realize this could all be sovled by having multiple identities, but I just dont need that.

If I havent confused anyone, some help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm not an Express expert, but I remember having trouble doing this here at work...so I gave up and just installed the full-blown Outlook, which will allow multiple profiles to be created.

    Jay,

First, I'm embarrassed to say that I, too, still use Outlook Express. It is the address book that is preventing me from moving to something else.

In my version, if you have multiple accounts then when you send a piece of mail the default account is the sender *only by default*. Look closer. You should see a FROM line with your default account in it, however there will be a dropdown menu arrow to the far right of that line. Hit that, and select the account you want placed in the FROM line. The only way to get multiple inboxes is multiple profiles.

You can also send and receive only for selected accounts, each time you send/receive, if you so desire. You'll see a dropdown menu arrow attached to the SEND/RECV button on the button bar.

Yeah I can change via the dropdown bar, but was wondering if there was any better way. Thanks though.
