    He wants to do a "simplified" Hyperloop between Austin and San Antonio? I thought that's what the Las Vegas one ended up being. I mean, the Las Vegas one ended up going from being The Hyperloop with 700 mph carriers or whatever to ... a tunnel you can drive through.

    And I don't need to go to the Austin area anymore for good BBQ, so this really doesn't serve me any purpose. lol.

    I’ve taken the loop in Vegas.
    I like it! Basically a Tesla roller coaster. The benefits is that you are avoiding traffic and the weather. They have it for the convention center which is huge cause that’s like 3 football fields .
    They currently have it at resorts world to the convention center which is smart for the resort as a selling point for convention goers.
    They plan on expanding it to Allegiant where the raiders play and the other resorts.

    if they did the same thing for Austin to San Antonio, then I imagine you can max out the speed of those cars and have it streamlined so it would take what? 45 minutes ? Charge like $10?

    if they used a real hyper loop pod, it be there in 15 minutes

    He will defend anything relating to Elon. Once people get into fanatic behavior, you can't get through to them. Whether it's Elon fans, trump supporters, religion, the human psychology is interesting and complicated.

    Back to topic at hand.
    The WSJ article was pretty detailed about the BS the "boring company" was selling.
    And I thought it was pretty obvious by now that Elon (a car salesman) would propose tunnels for cars to solve traffic while killing other modes of public transportation (because ewww you can get killed on a train he said).
