I know we've talked about him before. I picked up Either/Or last night...just amazing. I tend to like the sound he has on "Angeles." The very soft whispered acoustic sound. What other albums of his feature that sound prominently, as opposed to some of his bit more uptempo music???
He has some good albums and I like his sound on 70% of his songs...but for some reason he puts about 3 songs per album that are just horrible and annoying. Talk about killing yourself the old fashioned way...didn't he stab himself in the chest with a knife. I couldn't imagine forcing a knife into myself.
all of his albums up until XO were stricly acoustic and what you are looking for. "Elliott Smith" "Either/Or" "Roman Candle" His self-titled srecord is my favorite.
