    Another Fossil Available

I really don't want to be sayin this but the hornets plan on waivin Elden in the J Jackson trade after he clears waivers........The pattern this year has been to sign fossils with an age limit of 34...hes 36 and can be had for a cheap......vet minimum of 1 mill..........

I don't personally like Elden...but our 4 situation gives me ulcers.....and I feel he can at least be more of a bully on the boards than Mo or Juwan.........

what would it hurt for 1 million??????

    Yay or Nay

    definite yes.

Another 6 fouls in payoff time is always good.

    Elden Cambell? HEYL yes.

But we really need to drop another of our PFs. If we simply added another, I think either MO or Juwon would go into operation shutdown.......probably MO. He doesn't seem to care about anything anyway.
And since nobody wants our PFs, I think we won't get Elden.

I always really liked Elden... but he's gotten a little on the large side recently, hasn't he? He used to be able to play power forward, but if he can't anymore he's no good to us.

Yeah but one report said that Utah was going to waive him and Detroit was going to re-sign him.

I would sign him... can't beat that price for a quality big man.

But how about Junior Harrington? He was waived to make room in the Suns-Hornets deal. A 6-3 PG anyone? But, then again, don't we already have that... Gaines?

Elden Campbell expected to be waived..Rockets interested?

Will Elden Campbell be someone the Rockets look at, as the Jazz are expected to waive him.

    http://www.freep.com/sports/pistons/pistons-bar122e_20050122.htm

"The Pistons would like to bring back Campbell because he can bang with Shaquille O'Neal if the Pistons face the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference playoffs.

Campbell has about $2.5 million left on a contract that pays him $4.4 million this season. A team would have to be under the salary cap to claim him off waivers. B]About the only teams in that category are Houston, Charlotte and New Jersey[/B]

The Pistons hope none of those three claims Campbell. If he doesn't return, that would leave only Darko Milicic and Antonio McDyess as backup big men on the roster. Milicic sat out Friday's loss to Milwaukee with the flu."

Do we really need another backup center?? If Campbell was a PF then we could use him but Deke has done an excellent job as our backup center. I am not sure why the Rockets would do this pickup.
